Replace Your Tooth & Renew Your Smile

The Implant Center at North Oaks Dental is your go-to dental office for replacing a single tooth. Our team can place a dental implant and pair it with a beautiful new crown to fill in your smile. Your treatment will begin with an initial exam, X-rays, and 3-D imaging using our CBCT scanner. This advanced technology ensures that your treatment will go exactly as planned.

After your implant is placed, it will fuse with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration. In a few months, you'll be ready for a new crown. It can be made from either porcelain or zirconia, depending on its location in your mouth and other factors. When the process is complete, you'll have a beautiful new replacement tooth!

We want to make sure you're completely comfortable during your implant placement procedure. We offer:

  • Sedation Options - Choose from fast-acting inhaled sedation with laughing gas, oral sedation in convenient pill form, or IV sedation for a dreamlike state of relaxation. We'll discuss which option is ideal for you.
  • Pleasant Distractions - You're welcome to grab a set of our headphones and play your favorite music - either your own or tunes streaming from Pandora.
  • Longer Appointments - You can schedule a longer appointment if necessary. We'll make sure you're fully relaxed and at ease before we begin your procedure.

Schedule your consultation for a Royal Oak single-tooth implant. Saturday appointments are available!

I have had the good fortune of having Dr Alvin Daboul as my dentist in Royal Oak, MI for almost ten years. He, Natalia, and Dayna, and his phenomenal staff have provided terrific care to my family and friends, fixing lots of broken teeth, performing extractions, root canals and crowns, and installing over six implants on me— all successful, and pain-free. I completely trust his work, and his advice. Dr Daboul is outstanding. I highly recommend The Implant Center at North Oaks Dental.

Common Questions About Single-Tooth Implant

Will insurance pay for a single-tooth implant?

A single-tooth implant may not be covered by insurance because it may be considered a cosmetic procedure. However, if implants are needed for medical reasons, some plans will pay for a portion of them. We recommend you check with your insurance carrier to see what their policy is on dental implants. Keep in mind that we do offer several financing options to make your implant treatment more accessible.

Which is better: a conventional bridge or a single-tooth implant?

Either a conventional bridge or a single-tooth implant can be used to replace one tooth. But unlike a bridge, an implant provides the same kind of stimulation to your jaw as a natural tooth root. This prevents the bone loss that will otherwise occur after a tooth is lost. To place a bridge, we'll have to modify the healthy teeth on either side of your missing tooth. With an implant, no such modification is necessary.

How is a single-tooth implant put in?

Dr. Daboul inserts an implant in your jaw through a small opening he makes in your gum tissue. After insertion, your bone fuses to the implant in a process called osseointegration. This process keeps your implant - and the restoration attached to it - securely in place. Once in place, your implant functions like a tooth root, stimulating your jaw to keep it strong.
