I love coming to this particular practice because they’re very professional here and I like the way that they treated me during my procedure. It felt very safe here so I really like that aspect.

I had a tooth that was fused to my jaw which was, I guess, they haven’t really heard of that before. There’s not many cases of that, so they took that out and I was able to get an implant in, and it pretty much saved the whole bottom part of my mouth because if I wouldn’t have done that all the teeth would have just started growing in together and it would have been bad. So coming here, getting an implant done, that was very helpful for my smile.

It went a lot smoother than I thought. When I first got in, you know, I was pretty nervous but again, here’s another reason why I say that I feel very safe coming here is because I was very nervous before the surgery or the implant, and you know, the doctor came in and he used a very calm voice, and he was, you know, able to give me pain medicine and just explain the whole process to me so that I kind of knew what I was going to be going through.

The doctors seem like they care, and the staff is very professional. I like that. It makes me feel, again, it makes me feel safe. It makes me want to come here.

I was always like looking at other people and I would like like look at commercials and different things and be like oh boy I wish I could get teeth like that. So it was always like a goal and so before I got them it was something that I was always trying to work toward. I had a tooth that was like broken and it was in the front and I kept and it was in temporarily and I just kept wondering one day this tooth is going to come out and when it does I’m going to be in trouble and I did not I wanted implants that’s all I wanted and so that was the worst part before I got the implants.

I chose them because once you have a vision and what I liked about them was once I decided to get them and to go with them they helped me realize my vision and when I say by helped me realize it I mean like you know it’s gonna cost some money but they helped me reach my goal in order to get the implants. If you come here they’re gonna find a way to help you reach that goal and so I had went other places and I knew what the money thing I knew like what I was gonna have to come up with but they worked with me and they’ll work with you to help you to wherever you’re at to help you meet your goal or what you want to do. I’m just smiling all the time, all the time I’m just smiling and I feel so good because I can’t believe I got them and my goal was reached but yes it’s I love him and he takes so much time I mean and each to meet your teeth for you so that you can get the smile that you want and that’s gonna make you look the best and that’s what I liked about him because he really personalized what he was doing and he took a lot of pride in making my teeth.

I don’t have to worry about my tooth coming out, I don’t have to worry about dentures, I got a beautiful smile, I have an investment and you know it just really makes you look good you know it just it does I don’t care what you look like it’s gonna make you look better.

I had taken really good care of my teeth, or so I had thought, and I found out that the bridges that I had and the crowns that I had, they failed. I didn’t know they had a limited lifetime, and when they started gulling, I had to seek an alternative immediately. So that’s why I decided to get implants.

I didn’t experience a whole lot of pain, but I was very just depressed about what was going on and the alternatives. It was either get dentures, which I did not want because I didn’t want to use all of the glue and, you know, all of the maintenance that comes with soaking them and those type of things. And then the erosion of the bone tissue that eventually would have shrunk in my face.

The best option that I saw clearly was implants. I chose Oaks because they were a family dentistry. They were just a fly-by-night organization that just put implants in your mouth and then you got to find a dentist.

They were very personable, courteous. They explained the procedure, and they made me feel really comfortable. I don’t have to worry about what food I eat.

I can eat anything I want to, and I just love the way it makes me look. My wife was just elated. And family also.

They really gave me a lot of compliments about my smile and that it looked natural, which was very important to me, just having a natural-looking feel. But everyone was really happy for me. It was probably one of the best investments I’ve ever made in my life.

To be able to smile confidently, to be able to confidently eat food, it’s priceless. And I thank Dr. Daboul and his practice, and I thank God for allowing me the ability to afford.

I do private in-home hospice care, and I was very embarrassed to go in to a new patient and then have them see me look like, you understand what I’m saying? It’s like, okay, you’re not even taking care of your own mouth and you want to come in here and take care of our loved ones? So it was a very big struggle for me. Like I said, no one saw my teeth. Even my friends were like, we didn’t realize your teeth were that bad because I hit them that good.

It was kind of funny because he said, I want to see pictures of you. Bring pictures of you in because I want to see what your natural smile looks like. I couldn’t find a picture for 20 years of me showing a picture of me smiling with my teeth.

20 years I had to go back to show him, and I never realized it. I never realized how much it was impacting my life until I got them fixed. And now not only has it changed my looks and how I feel when I go into a place, but it’s really made me a big health strides because now I can eat what I need to eat, and I can eat correctly.

I was 320 pounds at that point due to steroids, medications. Uh, I’m full of arthritis. I wasn’t able to move.

And of course I wasn’t able to eat correctly what I needed to eat because I had no teeth. I needed to eat nuts and proteins and, you know, even fruits and vegetables where I had no teeth left in the back. I had nothing left there for me to chew food.

So now I could, I hadn’t ate a steak. I couldn’t even tell you because I couldn’t chew it. So now I can eat all the proteins that I need, everything that I need to nourish my body.

And I’ve actually lost a lot of weight since I’ve had my teeth on because I have corrected my diet. To be honest with you right now, I don’t think about them. Um, they’re my teeth.

I, I, they’ve become a part of me. Um, I never really think that I’ve got, and this is what else I have to say. I have not had one person come up to me and say, are those real? I’ve had a lot of compliments of where did you get your teeth whitened? Or who’s your dentist? Cause your teeth are amazing.

It’s kind of funny because I started this guessing game of people to guess how old I am. And everybody guesses me about 48, 50 now. And I believe it’s because of my teeth.

I came to North Oaks Dental because I knew that I had to drastically do something with my mouth. Due to my health I had no backs to my teeth between my GERD and steroids and everything and then what happened was is it finally got the front and when I got the front I knew I had to drastically make a change and I actually went to four other facilities before I ended up here. Three of them I walked in the door and they told me we can’t help you.

There’s nothing we can do for you. You’re you’re way too involved. You’re too medically involved.

We won’t even do a consultation. I don’t even think they realize what it does to you when your teeth are bad. You don’t want to smile.

You don’t want to talk. I talked like this for 20 years. No one saw my upper teeth.

I hid my teeth for 20 years. When I came here it was absolutely the most amazing experience I had ever been through. They were so kind when I came in and that’s like I think the biggest stipulation with dentists.

I know it’s changing now but I turned 60 this year and and I’ve had people scream at me, humiliate me, tell me I don’t take care of myself. So you know what you stop going. You stop going because who who wants to start their day like that and here from the second I walked in it was like I came home.

They were kind. They were so kind. I can’t even emphasize that enough and anybody that’s gone through what I’ve been through is gonna absolutely that’s gonna really hit a chord with them because you you’re embarrassed.

You’re embarrassed and then when somebody yells at you you know what I mean you go home and then you’re like I’m not going back. Why am I gonna go back? They’re just gonna yell at me and tell me it was my fault that I didn’t take care of myself which was the farthest from the truth. They worked with me from 100% from financial to how is this gonna work for you and I never once felt that they didn’t feel like they could have they couldn’t help me like they were like yes we’re gonna do this we’re gonna be on this journey with you and that’s what it was it was a journey.

This has been a long long journey with them and I really encourage anybody that’s in that same situation to take the same journey because you’re gonna really be happy how it’s gonna change your lives.

I would say this office is everyone here is a family. Everyone works together. Everyone helps each other.

Everyone looks out for each other. Doctor, he gave my husband his cell phone, his personal cell phone number and said, I want you to call me later. I want to make sure she’s okay.

That’s what kind of doctor he is. And anytime I call them, they call me right back. Luckily, I didn’t have any problems.

I really did not have any issues. I never have. I never have.

I once they put them in and I mean, what they did to me was quite dramatic. You know, like I said, I was, he was in my mouth for eight hours fixing what he had to fix because that’s how bad it was. I was extremely comfortable.

I don’t remember anything. The pain was very minimal after, um, I did some ice packs, took the things, but it was not nothing like I anticipated or what I expected at all as for pain within a week or so. I was great.

I was really great. It was, it was a very fast thing. I came back the next morning and I had my new teeth in.
